This is great great Aunt Emma (Emily) Brusch and her husband, Frederick Limburg, on their wedding day in 1904, Buffalo, New York. I am unaware of what became of them, after 1920. He died before 1920. She clearly remarried before 1930. But, I haven’t found the records that will solve that puzzle. Also, I can only assume that she prefered to go with Emma, as opposed to Emily. I do have photographs of her from later in her life, but the writing on these photos say that her last name was Courtney and on one photo it says she liked to swear. lol!
Emma in 1906
Emma in 1913. By then, she and Frederick had a son, Norman
I don’t know what year this was taken. As close as some of my paternal family is, no one seems to have any answers about this woman.

To me she looks so much like Grammy & Aunt Alice!
(She married a Courtney, too??)
Yes, I agree that she looks like Grammie and Aunt Alice. All the photos that I have, written in Grammie’s handwriting, indicate that she is Emma (Emily) Brusch Limburg Courtney. I haven’t found a marriage record for her marriage to anyone named Courtney. I can only assume, for now, that she married a second time before 1930, as there is no census record for her after 1920. I’ve asked Aunt Carol and Uncle John, but they know very little about her.
